Advanced Payment Options

The advanced payment options help you to fine-tune how payments should be handled. 

Force tariffs so drivers can't change the predefined tariff for a type of job

When this is disabled, the driver will get to freely choose tariffs from a list in the Driver App.
The Tariff List shown will represent the Tariff Categories set under tariffs. To learn more about tariffs go to the 

If this option is enabled, the software will automatically choose the corresponding tariff skipping this screen no matter if the booking is made via the Dispatch Console, Passenger App, Reception Tool, Website Booking or if it is a street job made in the Driver App.

Enable the advanced payment flow in the Driver App

This feature will enable the Driver to choose additional payment options like Extras, for example, tolls.
This feature enabled will allow you to click on the plus sign during the Payment Process in the Driver App when finishing a job. It will display an additional window in which you will be able to choose your extras.

Disable Tips

Any overpayment registered (payment value higher than the final price) will be automatically registered on the receipt as a tip. If you want to prevent drivers from entering a price higher than that of the final price, enable disable tips. 

 

Allowed Payment Methods

Simply choose the payment methods which you accept. 
 

 

Cash

Allows drivers to process cash payments from passengers. 

 

Billed

Billed payments relate to payments on Customer Accounts which are set to BILLED payments. Invoices are sent at the end of the desired time period. To configure customer accounts and invoicing, go to https://app.taxicaller.net/account/customers/accounts

  • Hide Fare - Enable this option if the billed fare should be hidden from your drivers.
  • Require Signature - Enable this option if you want to collect a signature from the passenger at the end of the ride. 
     

In-app payment

TaxiCaller offers an in-app payment solution via our integration with Stripe. Whether you use our TaxiCaller for Passengers App or you have your own rebranded passenger app, you'll be able to accept payments through the app, directly to your Stripe account.

E-ticket

E-tickets are electronic tickets that you can offer to your account customers. To get started, you'll need to set up the e-tickets system, go to https://app.taxicaller.net/account/customers/accounts, navigate to the account you want to enable e-tickets on and follow the instructions here: 

 

Card Present

The card present option allows passengers to make payment by credit or debit card at the end of the ride. We currently support card reader integrations with SumUp, Sqaure and Zettle. If you have another card processor, choose the OTHER option to process card payments without integration. Drivers then simply need to enter the amount they've charged the passenger into the driver app. 

NOTE: As it's possible that some cars can have card readers and others may not, you'll need to enable the card reader option for each car. This ensures that any jobs booked with CARD PRESENT as the payment method, are only assigned to cars with a card reader. Promotions

Promotions are only available for a Rebranded Passenger App.

Not Settled

This option can be enabled if you have different Payment Options from the above described.
It is important to highlight that these payment options will not be able to be integrated into the Taxicaller software, you can use them in parallel with TaxiCaller and in the Payments Options in the Driver App choose the Not Settled option.

 

Skip - Allow drivers to not specify payment method

If this option is enabled it will allow the drivers to skip the selection of a payment method during the Payment Process. This functionality can be used if you have your own payment process that Taxicaller does not support.

If this option is activated it will be visible in the Driver App showing an extra button at the bottom of the screen named Skip.
